The Malone University women's soccer team will host its home opener on Tuesday afternoon before travelling to a pair of conference opponents on Thursday and Saturday. The Pioneers will host a non-conference match against West Liberty University on Tuesday at Canton Central Catholic High School before returning to Great Midwest Athletic Conference play with road matches at Ohio Dominican University and Cedarville University

-The Pioneers opened up the 2018 campaign on Saturday with a 2-1 defeat in double-overtime at Ursuline College

Madeline Ault tallied her first collegiate goal in the 15th minute of the match before the Arrows evened things up less than four minutes later. The contest would then remain deadlocked until Ursuline found the game-winner just 43 seconds into the second overtime period
-Ault and sophomore forward
Danielle Lung were the Pioneers' primary attackers as the duo accounted for all seven of Malone's shot attempts. Ault fired a total of four shots while Lung had three.
-Junior goalkeeper
Haleigh Seman appeared in front of the net for all 100 minutes of action. She racked up a career-high 17 saves in the match

All-Time Series: Tuesday's game will mark the first-ever meeting between the two programs
-The Hilltoppers, members of the Mountain East Conference, have gone to double overtime in each of their first two games. WLU opened the season last Thursday with a 1-0 loss to California University of Pennsylvania in double OT. They then played to a 0-0 tie with Davis & Elkins College at home on Saturday
-West Liberty tallied a 4-11-2 overall record in 2017 with a 3-11-2 mark in MEC contests
-Forward Layne Hartnell leads the Hilltoppers with 11 shot attempts on the season

All-Time Series: The Panthers own an 8-6-1 edge in 15 all-time meetings
-Ohio Dominican opened the season with a 2-1 loss to Saginaw Valley State University last Friday before bouncing back with a big 5-1 win over Northwood University on Sunday.
-The Panthers notched a 16-5-2 record in 2017 and advanced all the way to the G-MAC Tournament Championship Game before falling to Ohio Valley University in penalty kicks. ODU then received a bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament where they picked up an opening-round win over McKendree University.
-Samantha Buck recorded a hat trick in the Panthers' win on Sunday. Susan D'Isidoro, Hannah Knobloch and Mari Silvestri have also scored for ODU this season
