The Malone University men's soccer team will open up Great Midwest Athletic Conference action this week with three league matches. The Pioneers will host NCAA Division II #25 Davis & Elkins College on Tuesday night at Canton Central Catholic High School before hitting the road for away contests at Ohio Dominican University on Thursday and Cedarville University on Saturday.

-The Pioneers began their season with a pair of non-conference home games last week against former American Mideast Conference foes Roberts Wesleyan College and Daemen College
-Malone fell 3-1 to the Redhawks on Thursday before being edged 1-0 by the Wildcats on Saturday

Sam Condon registered the fifth goal of his Pioneer career on Thursday. Condon, who transferred to Malone from Otterbein University, led the team with four tallies in 2017
-Freshman
Daemon Thomas has made an immediate impact in his first two games. The midfielder from Farmersville, Ohio assisted on Condon's goal and then made his first career start on Saturday
-Goalkeeper
Alexandre Durand has appeared in front of the net for all 180 minutes of the Pioneers' season thus far. The freshman from Versailles, France has notched six saves in each of the first two contests

-The Senators, ranked 25th in the NSCAA NCAA Division II Preseason National Poll, opened their 2018 season last Thursday with a 2-1 victory at home over visiting Salem International University
-Davis & Elkins posted a 14-3-4 overall record in 2017. The Senators advanced to G-MAC Tournament Championship Game last fall and then received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II National Tournament where they topped Saginaw Valley State in the opening round
