The Malone University's women's soccer team lost by a final score of 3-0 at Tiffin University on Saturday afternoon.

The Pioneers were on their heels early when Tiffin scored twice in the first 20 minutes of play  The Dragons' barrage started in the 9th minute with a free kick by Abby Morillon then an unassisted goal to the right of the goalkeeper by Allid McCabe in the 17th minute.  The hosts tacked on a third score in the 38th minute as Valerie Brown put in a long shot in the right corner of the net. 

The victory allowed Tiffin to break its nine-game winless streak as the Dragons secured their first victory of the season. 

Malone slipped to 2-6-1 overall and 1-6-1 in the conference with the defeat while the Dragons improved to 1-9-1 and 1-7-1 in G-MAC competition.

Both teams were even statistically in all categories except for the Dragons finding the back of the net.

Malone goalkeeper Jessica Morgan came in off the bench to shutout Tiffin in the second half and Kassidy Hannum led the offense with three shots and one shot-on-goal.
