  • Malone is coming off a 1-1 weekend which included a competitive four-set loss to Hillsdale on Friday and three-set sweep of Ursuline on Saturday.
  • Senior setter Cathryn Miller distributed 35 assists in the win at Ursuline, marking the most in a three-set match since her freshman season. Over the last five matches, Miller is averaging 9.72 assists, 2.72 digs, and 0.61 blocks per set.
  • Across the same time frame, middle hitter Hannah Eliason has a team-high .319 attacking percentage and has averaged 3.00 kills per set, while Mallory Adams averaged a team-high 3.11 kills and attacked at a .297 clip.
  • Eliason leads the G-MAC in blocks (1.20 b/s) while Adams is eighth in blocks (0.91 b/s) and second in total points (4.0/s). Collectively Malone leads the conference in team blocks, averaging better than 2.20 blocks per set.

  • The Pioneer back row, led by senior libero Maggie Hamrock who is fourth in the G-MAC with 4.94 digs per set, has been outstanding. Malone leads the G-MAC in digs per set (19.31) and has allowed the fourth fewest service aces.
  • The Pioneer defense will need to be at its best on Tuesday against a Tiffin team which hit .350 in a non-conference sweep of Malone last season. The .350 figure was the highest by an opponent all season.
  • Senior outside hitter Veronica Gehring, who is approaching 900 career kills, led Malone with nine kills in the loss to Tiffin in 2017.
