The Malone University women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 defeat on Saturday afternoon in its season opener at Ursuline College.
The Pioneers struck first in the contest as freshman

The Arrows found the equalizer less than four minutes later when freshman Theron Ruff knotted things up at the 18:18 mark.
The contest would remain deadlocked through the remainder of regulation and the first overtime period.
Ursuline's Odessa Strizzi then broke through just 43 seconds into the second overtime, scoring the golden goal off a pass from Brooke Mahabir.
The Arrows held a 32-7 edge in total shots and a 19-4 advantage in shots on goal. Pioneer goalkeeper
