Women's Soccer Wins On The Road At Point Park

The Malone University women's soccer team traveled to Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday evening and won 1-0 in an out-of-conference contest.

Both teams carry the same "Pioneers" nickname.  MU tallied their first and game-winning goal midway through the second half.  It was Danielle Lung landing her second goal of the season with assist help from Carolina Nakata and Kassidy Hannum.  Lung's score was all MU needed to come out on top.

Goalkeepers McKenzie Chappell (in 15 minutes) and Jessica Morgan (in 75 minutes) combined to help MU register its third shutout of the season. Morgan, an up-and-coming freshman, secured five saves in the match

MU goes to 3-8-2 overall with the victory while PPU falls to 8-6-0

Overall MU held a 16-13 edge in total shots and 11-5 advantage in shots-on-goal
