The Malone University men's and women's swimming & diving teams celebrated Senior Day on Saturday at Branin Natatorium by sweeping their contests against Alderson Broaddus University and Notre Dame College.
Prior to the start of Malone's final regular-season home meet, the Pioneers took time to recognize seniors

Carolin Friedrich.
The Malone women topped Notre Dame by a final score of 168-53 and Alderson Broaddus by a tally of 176-48. The Pioneer men, meanwhile, defeated Notre Dame 156-95 and topped ABU 183-19.

Women's Highlights
Pioneer freshmen took first, second and third in the 200-yard freestyle.Â
Denise Quentin won the race in 2:03.94.Â
Kaila Butterworth moved up to seventh on Malone's all-time Top 10 performers list in the event by placing second in 2:04.65 and
Lauren Cantor placed third in 2:13.59.
Quentin also won the 50-yard butterfly in 27.95 seconds and the 200-yard butterfly with a mark of 2:29.98. Â
Other women's individual event winners included Friedrich in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:23.66), freshman
Abby Reynolds in the 50-yard backstroke (29.52), sophomore
Anna Hesseman in the 200-yard individual medley (2:37.79), and sophomore
Jessica Slater in both the 50-yard breaststroke (33.96) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:44.70).
Malone also took first in both of the day's relay races. Butterworth, Livchak, Friedrich and Reynolds took over the No. 10 spot on Malone's all-time list in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a mark of 1:45.18 while the 400-yard medley relay team of Reynolds, Butterworth, Livchak and Friedrich took first with a time of 4:16.85.
Claire Bergefurd took second in the 50-yard freestyle race. Her time of 26.35 seconds moves her up to seventh on Malone's all-time performers list.
Hoch registered a mark of 184.9 in the one-meter diving competition.
Mally took second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:57.16
Livchak was second in the 200-yard butterfly with a mark of 2:39.65.

Men's Highlights
Freshman
Wesley Hammond won the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 10:23.06. The performance moves him up to ninth on the Pioneers' all-time list in the event. Hammond also took first in the 200-yard individual medley with a mark of 2:06.57.
Sophomore
Rhett Sanford touched the wall first in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 27.71 seconds and also won the 500-yard freestyle with a mark of 5:08.84
Junior
Bradley Bowers and sophomore
Noah Curl finished in a tie for first in the 50-yard breaststroke as each clocked times of 29.26 seconds.
Other event winners included freshman
Brice Dixon in the 200-yard butterfly (2:05.58), freshman
Cobie Mikesell in the 100-yard freestyle (50.69), sophomore
Nick Wertz in the 200-yard backstroke (2:11.72), junior
Austin Weingart in the 50-yard butterfly (24.99) and freshman
Peyton Hamilton in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:25.79).
Freshman
Dominic Mariano posted a score of 183.0 in the three-meter dive.
The Pioneers also won the 400-yard medley relay as Dixon, Curl, sophomore
Markus Brunzel and Mikesell posted a time of 3:47.75.

Malone will travel to Ashland, Ohio on Friday for a 6:00 p.m. meet against Urbana University and Ashland University. Friday's contest is a make-up for a meet that was previously postponed due to weather.
