The Malone University women's soccer team lost 5-0 to Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday afternoon at the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Legacy Sports Complex. The Pioneer women fall to 2-3-2 (0-2-2) on the season.
 
Trevecca Nazarene outshot Malone 15-5 on the day. Twelve of the Trojans' shots were on goal, compared to four shots on goal by Malone.
 
The Trojans had a 2-0 lead going into halftime after goals by Hannah Barney and Payton Atwell.
 
The Pioneers went with almost a completely new lineup to start the second half, but the results on the scoreboard were similar to those in the first half. Fifteen minutes into the second half, Trevecca would score their third goal of the day. The goal was scored by Lidiya Ogorodnik off of a deflection by Malone's goal keeper, Haleigh Seman.
 
Courtney Dyer would score two goals in less than a minute to give Trevecca Nazarene a 5-0 victory.
 
Saturday's contest was the first time that Malone has been held scoreless in the 2017 season.
 
The Pioneers will look to get back on track at Ursuline on Thursday at 3:30.
