The Malone University men's soccer team fell to Davis & Elkins on Saturday evening by a score of 5-0. The Pioneers record falls to 0-5 on the season, 0-4 in the conference.
 
The Pioneers took six shots in the contest, two of which were shots on goal. Davis & Elkins took 24 shots, ten of which were on goal.
 
Rafa Moreno and Tim Staerz had a goal apiece in the first half for Davis & Elkins, taking a 2-0 lead going into halftime. Nick Wilhelm manned the goal for the Pioneers in the first half, allowing the two goals while snagging three saves.
 
Cody Hilty took over the goal keeping duties in the second half, allowing three goals while snagging two saves.
 
Davis & Elkins' third goal of the day came just one minute into the second half by Simon Hestad. Mads Kaiser and Pablo Salvador Lopez would each score a goal as well to give the Senators a 5-0 advantage.
 
Josh Sample, Sam Condon and Jacob Rice were the only Pioneer players to attempt a shot on the evening. Sample took three shots, none of which were on goal. Condon took two shots, one of which was on goal. Rice took one shot, which was on goal as well.
 
The Pioneer men will be back in action on September 21^st at home against Kentucky Wesleyan.
