The Malone University women's soccer team's game on Thursday evening ended in a 1-1 tie at Alderson Broaddus. Thursday's tie pushes the Pioneers' record to 2-1-1 (0-0-1 G-MAC) on the season.

Alderson Broaddus, who took just six shots in the contest, scored the first goal of the game just five minutes before halftime. Rachel Gasper scored the goal from 25 yards out on a free kick.

The Battlers' lead would hold until the 70
th minute of play, when
Riley Nicholson booted the ball into the back of the net from 30 yards. Nicholson's goal was assisted by
Kassidy Hannum. Nicholson's goal was her second on the season. Nicholson has already surpassed her total goals from her 2016 campaign, just four games into the 2017 season.

Neither team could find the back of the net throughout the rest of regulation, sending the game into overtime and eventually into double-overtime. With less than a minute remaining in the second overtime period,
Danielle Lung took a shot at the goal that hit the crossbar, ending the game in a 1-1 tie.
