The Malone University women's soccer team won Tuesday night's contest at Defiance College by a score of 3-0. The Pioneers' second consecutive win brings their record to 2-1 on the season.
 
Danielle Lung scored two goals in the contest, both of which came in the first half. Lung's first goal came just eight minutes into the contest, and was assisted by Keeley Malley. Lung struck again in the 23^rd minute to give the Pioneers a 2-0 lead. Kirsten Hilty assisted on the goal.
 
The Pioneers would tack on one more goal just before the half.  Brylee Jones scored on an assist from Natalie Freno.

Going into halftime, Malone had taken 24 shots compared to Defiance's two shots.  The Pioneers then maintained their 3-0 advantage throughout the second half.
 
Overall, the Pioneers took 42 shots in the contest, 25 of which were on goal. Twenty different Pioneer players took a shot throughout the contest. The Pioneer defense only allowed Defiance to take nine shots on the game, two of which were on goal.
 
Malone will continue its road trip on Thursday, as the team heads to West Virginia to take on Alderson Broaddus University. After their contest against the Battlers, Malone will head to Davis & Elkins College for a game on Saturday.
