The Malone University women's soccer team will be on the road for three games this week. The team will travel to Defiance College for a non-conference contest on Tuesday before heading to Alderson Broaddus University and Davis & Elkins College for a pair of conference games on Thursday and Saturday.

The Pioneer women are coming off of a 4-1 road victory over Salem International University on Saturday. Malone's contest again Salem was the first of a four-game road trip. Kirsten Hilty scored two goals against Salem, her second and third goals of the season. Danielle Lung had an assist to Hilty for the second game in a row, and also scored a goal of her own on Saturday. In 2016, the Pioneers defeated Alderson Broaddus 5-0 in their first meeting, and then tied the Battlers on the road later in the season. Malone and Davis & Elkins split in their 2016 meetings. Davis & Elkins won the first meeting 2-0 at Malone, and then Malone took the second contest by a score of 2-1.

Defiance is coming off a 6-0 loss to Oberlin College on Saturday. Prior to Defiance's loss to Oberlin, the team had a huge overtime win over Bethany (WV) College. Katie Settich scored her first goal of the season for Defiance just two minutes into the overtime period to give Defiance the victory. Kassie Memmer leads Defiance with two goals on the season. Memmer and Settich's goals are the only goals for Defiance on the season. Freshman goalkeeper, Rachel Lowell, has 14 saves on the season and has allowed 8 goals.

The Battlers are looking for their first win of the season, but they have played a tough schedule to begin the year. The Battlers lost 3-1 to Seton Hill University, which is ranked 16^th in NCAA Division II. Alderson Broaddus then started off their conference schedule with a 0-0 tie against the defending conference champions, Davis & Elkins. Shelby Riddle has the lone goal on the season for the Battlers. Kennedy Rankin leads the team in shots taken with 10. Diyonus Walls, the keeper for the Battlers, has 20 saves on the season while allowing just four goals.

The defending G-MAC champions took losses to Concord University and Indiana (PA) University before tying Alderson Broaddus in their conference opener. Brianna Rackey has the only goal for D&E on the 2017 season. Abby Alexa leads the Senators with 9 shots on the season. Goalkeeper, Samantha Wehri, has allowed five goals on the season and has 22 saves.
