The Malone University men's basketball team will be host to the Cedarville University Yellow Jackets on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. The Pioneers clinched a playoff berth in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament with their win this past Wednesday. Saturday's matchup will be a fight for positioning as Malone and Cedarville each are battling for the fourth slot in the standings. Malone is the current owner of the spot.

- The Pioneers had a rough shooting night in their first go-around with Cedarville, shooting just below 30% from the field, and a highly uncharacteristic 20% from three-point territory.
- Djuro Pantos did manage to get himself a double-double in the early contest against Cedarville, scoring eleven points and grabbing ten rebounds.
- The Pioneers have won three out of four games since then, with their sole loss coming from #15 ranked Kentucky Wesleyan 88-84.
- This past Wednesday, Malone routed Ohio Valley 87-65. The Pioneers had four players notch double digit scoring in the contest. Nate Sheppard scored a game-high 20 points, while Mitchell Spotleson had 14 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double.
- The team is shooting 34.8% from the three-point line which is second best in the conference. Spotleson is shooting 40.7% from beyond the arc, fourth best in the G-MAC.
- The team is first in assists in the conference, averaging 16.6 assists per game. Ty Jordan leads the G-MAC with 5.5 assists per game.
- Jordan, Spotleson and Sheppard all are in the top ten in the G-MAC in scoring, and they are all in the top five in threes made in the conference.

- The Yellow Jackets just finished an impressive six-game winning streak from January 17th to February 2nd. The streak ended last Saturday in a 71-61 defeat at the hands of Alderson Broaddus.
- The Cedarville men are shooting 47% from the field, second best in the G-MAC. The team shot 50% against the Pioneers in their first match-up.
- Cedarville has two players in the top ten in the G-MAC in scoring, J.C. Faubion and Patrick Bain. Faubion and Bain each are scoring just over 14 PPG.
