The Malone University men's basketball team will host two home conference games this week. The team will play Kentucky Wesleyan on Thursday, February 2
nd at 8:00 and will play Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday, February 4
th at 3:00 p.m.
Malone is looking to "Rock the Hall" on Thursday night against Kentucky Wesleyan in our men's and women's double-header. Rock & Roll music will be played throughout the games. The first 200 students in attendance at Thursday's double-header will receive a Rally Towel. There will be halftime contests with giveaways, including a year's worth of free pizza. The game is a White-Out as well, so come sporting as much white clothing as you can!

All-time Series Record: This season is the first time the Pioneers have taken on either of this week's opponents. They have played each team once already this season. Kentucky Wesleyan won the first meeting 98-75. Malone defeated Trevecca Nazarene 70-49 in their first meeting.

- The Pioneers went 3-2 on their five-game road stand over the past three weeks.
- After the long road-stand the men returned home to Hal Smith court and took care of Bluefield State in an 85-66 routing. Four players scored in double-digits for Malone in the contest. Nate Sheppard led the way with 28 points in the game. Sheppard grabbed ten rebounds for the team as well. Sheppard is now fourth in the conference in scoring, averaging 15.1 points per game.
- The Pioneers have made 189 three-pointers on the season, the most by any team in the G-MAC. The team is shooting 35.1% from beyond the arc which is the second best percentage in the conference. Ty Jordan, Nate Sheppard, and Mitchell Spotleson are all among the top 5 players in three-pointers made in the conference.
- The team also leads the conference in assists-per-game as well, along with assist-to-turnover ratio. Ty Jordan is leading the conference with 5.4 assists per game and a 2.3 assist-to-turnover ratio.

- Kentucky Wesleyan is currently ranked 15th in the nation in NCAA Division II. The team has been among the Top 25 for three straight weeks. The Panthers have won 16 straight games, with their only two losses coming in the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic back in November. In the Classic, the Panthers lost to #2 Lincoln Memorial as well as Southern Indiana who has also received votes for Top 25 consideration.
- The Panthers are leading the conference in both Scoring Offense and Scoring Defense. The team averages 89.8 points per game, while only giving up 70.9 points per game. Kentucky Wesleyan is also shooting the highest percentage in field goals, free throws, and three-pointers. The team leads the conference in steals, and trails only the Malone Pioneers in assists per game.
- Jordan Jacks and Ken-Jah Bosley take on the majority of the scoring load for the Panthers. The pair are the #2 and #3 highest scorers in the conference, each averaging over 17 points per game.
- Â Jacks leads the G-MAC in field-goal percentage at 63.2% He is third in the conference in rebounding, grabbing 8.1 rebounds per game.
- Bosley does a big chunk of his scoring from the free-throw line, where he is shooting 87.2%.
- Charles Foster is averaging 4.4 assists per game, which trails only Malone's Ty Jordan in the conference. Ty Jordan is averaging 5.4 assists per game.

- The Trojans have lost three straight games, including a nail-biting 78-74 overtime loss to Davis & Elkins on January 21st. Trevecca's last victory game against Auburn-Montgomery on January 14th. The Trojans are set to play Auburn-Montgomery tonight before they make their trip to Malone.
- Trevecca is currently sixth in the G-MAC standings, one spot behind Malone.
- The Trojans lead the conference in blocked shots, averaging 3.8 blocks per game. Cameron Paulding, a 6'7 freshman, leads the conference with 1.5 blocks per game.
- Devin Whitfield leads the team offensively. His 15.0 points per game is fifth in the G-MAC. The team has four players averaging double-digit scoring, including Whitfield, Donovan Donaldson, Jacob Williams, and Percy Blade.
- Jacob Williams is leading the conference in three-pointers made per game, tossing in 2.4 shots from beyond the arc each contest.
