The Malone University swimming and diving teams hosted the Malone Invitational on Saturday. The women's team finished fourth out of seven teams, scoring 718 points. The men's team finished third out of six teams, scoring 778 points.

"This event was an experiment of sorts, and I am so proud of the end result. A huge thank you to all the teams who participated and ultimately it lent itself to raised performances on the part of the Pioneers."
Green Out
Saturday's Meet was a "Green Out" to help raise awareness and funds for the battle against lymphoma. Fans wore green, the official color of lymphoma awareness, and donations were collected for the American Cancer Society.

Men's Highlights Â
Brice Dixon had an outstanding performance in the 200 Yard Freestyle, finishing second by 0.71 seconds. Dixon took nearly three seconds off of his personal best, moving him to third on Malone's top ten list.
Dixon also finished second in the 100 Yard Butterfly in a time of 52.17. Kenyon's Brandon Arlow finished just before in 51.91. Â
Dixon moved up to fifth all-time in the 200 Yard Butterfly. His time of 1:59.20 was good enough for third in today's event.
Peyton Hamilton took over four seconds off of his best time in the 200 Yard Breaststroke, finishing seventh in the event in 2:21.07. Noah Curl finished the event in 2:23.59, moving into eighth on Malone's top ten list.
Wesley Hammond moved up to seventh all-time at Malone in the 500 Yard Freestyle, finishing ninth in the event in a time of 4:54.06.
Cobie Mikesell moved into tenth at Malone in the 100 Yard Freestyle in a time of 49.16. Mikesell, as well as Brice Dixon, each finished in the top five in the 50 Yard Butterfly as well.
The foursome of Brice Dixon, Markus Brunzel, Noah Curl, and Cobie Mikesell finished fourth in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay in a time of 1:29.89.
Dominic Mariano finished second in the 1m dive.

Women's Highlights
Abby Reynolds finished 10th out of 44 competitors in the 200 Yard Freestyle. Her time 1:58.66 was just half a second over her personal best. Denise Quentin finished 13th in 1:04.41, beating her personal record by 0.07 seconds.
Kaila Butterworth finished fourth in the 200 Yard Individual Medley in a time of 2:20.73. Her time is sixth all-time at Malone.
Denise Quentin finished fifth in the 100 Yard Butterfly in 59.99. Quentin improved her personal best time by almost a full second. She remains second on Malone's top ten list.
Quentin finished second in the 50 Yard Butterfly in a time of 27.00, falling short of first place by 0.06 seconds.
Abby Reynolds finished sixth in the 50 Yard Freestyle in a time of 24.90. Reynolds' time beats her previous best and keeps her second all-time at Malone. Lauren Cantor moved into eighth on malone's top ten list as well, finishing the race in 26.60.
Reynolds finished fourth in the 100 Yard Freestyle in a time of 53.95, beating her previous time of 54.40. Her time is second best at Malone.
Carolin Friedrich moved into fifth all-time at Malone in the 200 Yard Backstroke with her time of 2:25.06.
The foursome of Denise Quentin, Abby Reynolds, Lauren Cantor, and Kaila Butterworth finished fifth in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay in a time of 1:42.54.
Hannah Kurzinsky finished fourth in the 1 meter dive.
