The Malone University men's soccer team lost on the road to the University of Findlay by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The Pioneers fall to 1-10 (1-8) on the season.

Findlay took an early 1-0 lead, scoring on a header by Josh Burton just seven minutes into the contest.

The Pioneers answered back with a goal of their own at the fourteen-minute mark.
Jacob Rice took a beautiful pass from
Cole Hoop and kicked it over the head of the keeper for the goal, tying the game 1-1.

Despite being outshot 12-4 in the first half, Malone was able to hold the 1-1 tie until halftime.

Just over a minute into the second half, Josh Burton struck for the Oilers again, earning a 2-1 lead. Burton was assisted by Josh Dickinson on both goals.

Dickinson would score a goal of his own in the 67
th minute of playing, giving Findlay a secure 3-1 lead that would hold through the end of the game.

Findlay outshot the Pioneers 24-11 on the contest.
Cody Hilty was able to save 11 of the 14 shots on goal in the game.
