The Malone University men's soccer team was shutout 4-0 by Cedarville University on Thursday evening.
The Yellow Jackets held a 19-6 edge in overall shot attempts, including a 10-0 edge in shots on goal.
Cedarville held just a 1-0 lead at halftime. The Yellow Jackets' first half goal came from Mason Hecklinger in the 21st minute.
Ten minutes into the second half, Cedarville extended its lead to 2-0 on a goal by Levi Haight.
The Yellow Jackets broke the game wide open in the 75
th minute of play. Bryce Childers scored back-to-back goals in 45 seconds to give Cedarville a 4-0 lead. Childers now has eight goals on the season. Both of Childers' goals were assisted by Kyle Nikerlie.
The Pioneers will be back in action on Saturday at the Hall of Fame Legacy Sports Complex where they will take on Ohio Valley at 1:30 pm.
