The Malone University men's soccer team lost to Ohio Dominican by a score of 3-0 on Thursday evening. The Pioneers fall to 1-9 (1-7) on the season.
Despite being outshot 10-2, the Pioneers were able to keep Ohio Dominican off of the scoreboard for most of the first half. The Panthers finally broke loose for a goal with just under two minutes remaining in the first half. Jaxson Szabo was able to take a pass from Noah Kiser on a corner and capitalize for a Panther goal and a 1-0 lead going into halftime.
Kizer, who assisted on Szabo's goal, scored a goal of his own to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead about half way through the second half. The Panthers would score one more goal, by Ryan Kasprzak, with less than five minutes remaining to cap off the 3-0 victory.
Ohio Dominican outshot Malone 24-6 in the contest.
The Pioneers will look to get back on track against Findlay on Saturday.
