The Malone University women's soccer team celebrated its seniors during halftime of its contest against Davis & Elkins College on Saturday evening.  The five seniors on the Pioneer roster include Kaela Kovanda, Paige Clary, Alex Carcano, Darby Burch, and Annie Boyle.
 
The Pioneers extended their final home game of the season as long as possible, taking it through double overtime as they tied the Senators 1-1.
 
Senior Alex Carcano scored the lone goal for the Pioneers. Kaela Kovanda assisted the goal as she launched a throw-in from the sideline to Carcano for the goal.
 
Davis & Elkins answered back less than a minute later, tying the game up for good 1-1.
 
The Pioneers will be back in action for the regular season finale on Tuesday at Walsh University. The Pioneers still have a shot to make the postseason tournament if they are able to defeat Walsh on Tuesday. In addition to a Pioneer victory, Malone needs Ohio Dominican to defeat Findlay and Ursuline to defeat Lake Erie next week.
