The Malone University women's soccer season has come to an end. The team lost a close-fought battle at Walsh University on Tuesday night by a score of 2-1. The Pioneers ended their season with a record of 4-9-4 overall and 2-8-4 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
 
In Tuesday night's contest, Malone fell behind early after Walsh's Sydney Santiguida scored a goal just over a minute into the game.
 
With just under ten minutes remaining in first half, a Danielle Lung goal tied the game 1-1. Lung took two of Malone's three shots on goal in the contest.
 
Brianna Sanborn scored the game-winning goal in the 63rd minute of play to give Walsh the 2-1 victory. Ashley Dobbins assisted on the goal.
