The Pioneer women are coming off of a 2-1 victory over the University of Findlay, allowing the team to leapfrog the Oilers in the conference standings. Another successful week for the Pioneers could allow Malone to jump up ahead of several other teams as well. Malone is currently ninth in the standings, but could potentially move up a few more spots in the standing depending on their success this week. The Pioneers' 4-4-3 record is heavily reflected by their goals scored and goals allowed. The Fighting Scots have had an epic turnaround in their program. Ohio Valley finished dead last in the standings in the 2016 season, finishing with a 1-12-1 record in the conference and going 0-3 in non-conference play. The team has gone undefeated so far in the 2017 season, and has won seven of those games by shutout. Ohio Valley has only allowed five goals on the season, never allowing any opponent to score more than one goal. Ohio Valley leads the conference with 41 goals on the season. Konstantina Giannou leads the conference in goals (13) and total points (30). She is also in the top ten in assists with four on the year. Kimberly Mora, the keeper for the Scots, is tied for the best save-percentage in the G-MAC. She is saving 87.2% of shots taken on goal. However, Mora faces less shots than almost anyone else due to her team's ability to control the ball throughout each contest. Mora has just 34 saves on the season.
