The Malone University women's soccer team lost their season opener 3-0 to Pace University.

Pace held a 2-0 lead going into the half. Their first goal of the half came from Alyssa Zeoli in the 17^th minute off of a header from a corner kick. Alicia Buchanan added one more goal for Pace with less than 30 seconds to go in the first half.  The Pioneers held off the Setters for most of the second half, before Delaney Williams added one more goal with five minutes remaining in the second half of play.

This game was part of a two-game trip for the Pioneers in the Palm Beach Atlantic Tournament. The tournament is being held in West Palm Beach, Florida. Malone will play its second game of the tournament on Saturday, September 3^rd against Spring Hill College at 2:00pm.
