-Malone will look to get back on the winning track Friday after having dropped its last two games - both at home. The Pioneers fell 83-72 to Wilberforce University on December 7th before dropping a high-scoring affair to Notre Dame College on December 16th by a final tally of 97-87
-In its most recent contest, Malone nailed 16 three-pointers - just one trey shy of tying the program's all-time single-game record
-Notre Dame managed to overcome the impressive Pioneer shooting display by controlling the game inside. The Falcons outrebounded Malone 53-35 and outscored the hosts 54-36 in the paint
-The Pioneers lead the Great Midwest Athletic Conference in three-pointers made per game (9.4). Malone has hit eight or more three-pointers in all but one game this season and, on the year, is shooting 32.4% (85 of 262) from deep
-The 87 points marked the highest scoring output of the season for Malone and the most points the squad had scored since last February
-Malone handed out a total of 25 assists in the game vs. NDC, the highest number of assists for the squad since 2012 when the team racked up 28 dimes in a blowout win over Salem International University
-The Pioneers currently rank third in the G-MAC with an average of 14.1 assists per contest
-Malone has done a good job taking care of the basketball this season. The squad leads the G-MAC and ranks 28th nationally with an average of just 11.3 turnovers per game.
-The Pioneers attempted just one free throw in the game vs. Notre Dame and rank near the bottom of NCAA Division II teams with just 153 free throw attempts on the season
-After missing the first nine games of the season due to injury, senior guard
Christian Graves made an outstanding 2016-17 debut on December 16th, hitting seven of the Pioneers' 16 treys. In 22 minutes off the bench, Graves sank 7 of 11 attempts from beyond the arc, finishing with a team-high 21 points. He also contributed five assists, four rebounds, one block and one steal
-Graves' seven three-pointers tied his previous career high. The senior guard hit seven treys on two previous occasions (Feb. 16, 2013 vs. Ohio Dominican and Nov. 9, 2013 vs. Ohio Christian)
-The senior from Westerville, Ohio has now knocked down 231 three-pointers during his storied Malone career and is approaching the 1,000-point milestone, now with 924 career points
-Guard
Ty Jordan piled up 17 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and three steals in the contest vs. Notre Dame
-Jordan leads the G-MAC in three-pointers made per game (2.6), assists per game (5.0) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.8) while his 15.1 points per game is the fifth-best scoring average in the conference
-Forward
Mitchell Spotleson hit four three-pointers in the game vs. the Falcons, finishing with 17 points, five assists and three rebounds. The junior ranks second in the G-MAC with an average of 2.1 treys per outing. He also leads the team and ranks eighth in the conference with an average of 6.2 rebounds per contest
-Guard
Nate Sheppard has reached double figures in each of the Pioneers' contests so far this season and currently ranks eighth in the G-MAC in scoring with average of 13.6 ppg. He has come off the bench the last four games and, during that span, is averaging 14.0 points and 7.25 boards per contest.
