The Malone University men's soccer team lost to Trevecca Nazarene 4-0 in Saturday evening's game. Malone moves to 2-8-2 on the season, while Trevecca advances to 5-6-1 on the season.

The first half was a defensive battle, with neither team attempting more than five shots. The Trojans managed to squeeze in one goal in the 30
th minute of the first half to give them a 1-0 lead. The goal came from Danny Martinez, his fourth on the season. Martinez received a short pass from Nicolas Reinhard before scoring right through the middle.

Reinhard would get a goal of his own in the second half to give the Trojans a 2-0 lead, his sixth goal of the season. Reinhard had only the goalie in front of him, thanks to a steal and assist from Kevin Pierce.

The Trojans would cushion their lead in the 82
nd minute on a goal by Sean Anderson, his first of the season. They would add even a little more cushion just one minute later on a goal by Jeremiah Wright, his fourth of the season. Wright's goal came from a long pass from Frank Down before he headed the ball in over the keeper's hands.

The Pioneers will be back in action on Wednesday, October 12
th at 3:30 p.m. at Pioneer Field. They will take on Ohio Valley. Â
