The Pioneers have an exciting and important pair of road games this week. Their first game is at Davis & Elkins. These two teams have already gone to battle twice this season. In the first meeting, the Pioneers held a 3-0 lead before the game was cancelled due to lightning. In the makeup game, the weather made its return, but not before Davis & Elkins sealed a 2-0 victory. In Malone's first meeting against Alderson Broaddus the Pioneers had an impressive 5-0 victory over the Battlers. In the past two weeks Malone went 3-2 in a five game home-stand. The Pioneers will have to take care of business on the road this week to secure a playoff spot. Christine Najjar is leading the conference in goals on the season with twelve and Brianna Smith is second in the conference with five assists. Look for these seniors to finish their final regular season strong.

Record: 6-7 (6-5)

Davis & Elkins is currently the fourth seed in the G-MAC, however they have not yet clinched a playoff berth. They will take on Malone on Thursday, before playing against Ursuline who is the #1 seed in the conference and is one of two teams who have secured a playoff berth. Davis & Elkins' final regular season game will be against Alderson Broaddus, who is also fighting for a playoff spot. Katrina Giantsopoulos leads the Senators offensively. She has ten goals and one assist this season. Her ten goals are the third most in the conference. Last year Giantsopoulos lead all of Division II in goals. The goal keeper for Davis & Elkins, Lauren Hill, has five shutouts on the season. Her five shutouts are the second most of any keeper in the conference this season.

Record: 4-8-1 (4-6-1)

Alderson Broaddus is currently sixth in the conference, which would give them the final slot in the playoffs if the season would end right now. The Battlers have four games remaining on their schedule, three of which are conference games. Those three conference games have the potential to move Alderson Broaddus up a couple spots in the standings or those three games could knock the team out of the playoffs altogether. The Battlers have lost four games straight and they play the #1 team in the conference, Ursuline, this week before their game against Malone. The Pioneers defeated the Battlers 5-0 in their first meeting, but this game could be a little more interesting with both teams fighting for a spot in the playoffs. Brittany Minor leads the team offensively, scoring five of the team's nine goals on the season. Diyonus Walls is the keeper for Alderson Broaddus. She has three shutouts on the season.
