The Malone University women's soccer team lost a heartbreaking 2-1 contest on the road to non-conference opponent Point Park University (PA)
on Thursday night.
Neither team was able to produce a goal in the first half, which resulted in a 0-0 score at half time.
Malone would be the first team to notch a goal 14 minutes into the second half as junior forward
Christine Najjar found the back of the net, giving Malone the 1-0 advantage.
PPU would come back four minutes later to blast their first goal of the game to tie things up at 1-1 apiece.
With 56 seconds left on the clock, the hosts would net their game-winning goal to seal the 2-1 victory.
Malone will continue on the road as they head to non-conference opponent Davis & Elkins College (WV) on
