Malone Tops Kent State Tuscarawas in Non-Conference Matchup

The Malone University women's basketball team defeated the Golden Eagles of Kent State Tuscarawas 80-44 Thursday night in Osborne Hall.

The Pioneers ran out to a 24-13 lead after one quarter on the strength of six 3-pointers  After a Rachel Goddard triple that stretched the lead to 14 points early in the second quarter, Kent State Tuscarawas went on an 8-0  as Tessa Sanders hit consecutive threes and Haley Sanford hit a breakaway layup to cut the deficit to six.
