Malone Notes:
-Josh Jones enters his second-year as the Pioneers head coach.
-Malone is coming off a 6-1 loss at Ohio Dominican University and a 1-0 double-overtime loss at home to Northwood University (MI) this weekend.
-Junior Brianna Smith is leading the Pioneers thus far with eight goals and one assist (17 points) on the season and is fifth in the GLAIC in points (17).
-Junior Christine Najjar is second on the team in points with 16 (six goals and four assists) and is sixth in the GLIAC in points (16). She needs just one more goal to tie for 12th on the Malone's all-time career scoring list.
-Freshmen goalie Leah Rauscher has tallied 85 saves on the season. She is currently tied for second in the GLIAC in saves (85) and is nationally ranked 12th in Division II in total saves (85). In addition, she has recorded two shutouts this season. 
-Malone currently stands in 10th place in the GLIAC standings.

Saginaw Valley State Notes:
-Michael O'Neill is entering his second season as the Cardinals head coach.
-Sophomore Ashley Henderson led the 2014 SVSU squad with 9 goals (18 points).
-Saginaw Valley State lost 5-2 in the GLIAC Quarterfinals Game to Ashland University last season.
-The Cardinals won 1-0 to fellow GLIAC member Ohio Dominican University in the first round of the NCAA Division II Tournament a season ago, but loss 2-0 in the Second Round of the NCAA Division II Tournament to the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
-The Cardinals are returning 16 players from last year's squad, eight of which started 10 or more games.
-The Cardinals leading scorer so far this season is junior Ashley Henderson who currently has six goals and three assists (15 points). She is ninth in the GLIAC in points (15).
-SVSU currently stands in ninth place of the GLIAC standings.
