Box Score The Malone University women's soccer team fell to the University of Findlay, 4-1, in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play Friday night.
The Oilers came out rolling as they scored their first goal within six minutes of play. They would go on to score in the 21
st and 26
th minute of the first half.
A minute after the Oilers scored their third goal, the Pioneers answered back as
Christine Najjar scored her second goal of the season off an assist from sophomore
Brianna Smith.
The Pioneers played aggressive and hustled as the Oilers only scored once more, making it 4-1Â in the 54
th minute of the second half.
Malone had plenty of scoring opportunities but didn't reap the benefits. Findlay had the slight advantage in shots with 23 to Malone's 22.
Playing in her third game at the net this season,
Kari Naylor had a season-high 11 saves on the night.
The Pioneers, now 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the GLIAC, start their three-game road trip as they travel to Lake Erie College on Sunday, September 28
