Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Storm Sneak By Pioneers on Senior Day

The Malone University men's soccer team lost its Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) final home contest to Lake Erie College by a final score of 1-0 on senior day Sunday afternoon.

It was a back and forth battle between the Storm and Pioneers in the first half, but Alfred Majer would take advantage of the direct kick as he drove the ball into the net to put Lake Erie ahead 1-0. The score would remain the same at intermission.

The Pioneers were able to calm the storm in the second half as they held them to no goals.

Goalie Jon Crabbs had six saves on the afternoon. He now has 114 saves on the season.

Today we honored four seniors before the game: Matt Akindipe, Ryan Brumbaugh, Caleb Jones and Luan Tufani.

The Pioneers will wrap up their season as they head to face rivals Walsh University on October 31st at 7:00 p.m.
