The Malone University women's soccer team lost at home to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponent Michigan Tech University on Friday night 4-1.
The Huskies wasted no time as they took advantage of a turnover to score 42 seconds into the first half. They went on to score in the 11
th and 25
th minute to take a 3-0 advantage at intermission.
The Pioneers would get on the board in the 65th minute of the second half when the rebound from a shot by
Kaela Kovonda was collected off the goalie by teammate
Brianna Smith and fired into the net. Smith now has five goals on the season.

Kari Naylor tied her season high with 11 saves, while
Shannon Grimes added five saves.
The Pioneers will continue playing at home as they host GLIAC opponent Northern Michigan University on Sunday October 12
