Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Wildcats Propel Past Pioneers 4-0

The Malone University women's soccer team lost at home to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponent Northern Michigan University on Sunday afternoon 4-0.

The Wildcats got on top within six minutes of play as Kim Rietveld dished a pass to NMU leading scorer Paula Hafner for the goal. Six minutes later, the Wildcats continued with the momentum as they went on to score again to take an early 2-0 lead. The score would remain the same at intermission.

Five minutes into the second half, Hafner would score her second goal of the game and eighth on the season.  NMU would score for the last time 14 minutes later to seal the 4-0 victory.

Goalie Kari Naylor had five saves on the afternoon.

The Pioneers will travel to Michigan to take on GLIAC opponent Northwood University on Friday, October 17th at 2:00 p.m.
