Maria Brown had three goals and an assist, Ashley Botts had two goals and an assist and Alyssa Mira had three assists as NCAA DII #8 Grand Valley State (MI) University (8-0-2, 4-0-1 GLIAC) rolled to an 8-0 win over the Malone University (1-6-1, 0-4-1 GLIAC) women's soccer team on Friday afternoon at Pioneer Field.

The Lakers, ranked #1 in the nation just last week, raced to an early four-goal lead in the game's first 12 minutes and outshot Malone 45-1 for the afternoon. Pioneer goalkeeper Angie Nutial came up large for Malone on numerous occasions to keep the game's score respectable. The senior made 15 saves on the evening before being replaced in the second half.

Malone next takes on Ferris State (MI) University at home on Sunday Sep 30th at 1:00 pm.
