The Malone University women's soccer team suffered a tough 1-0 loss in an American Mideast Conference match at local rival Walsh University on Tuesday evening. The Cavaliers tallied the lone goal of the match in the 24th minute as Carley Adams sent a header into the net off a corner kick from Molly Martin. The Pioneers' record dropped to 5-5 overall and 1-3 in the AMC with the narrow defeat while Walsh improved to 7-3 overall and 2-2 in the conference.

The Cavaliers and Pioneers each totaled four shots on goal in the match as Malone keeper Angie Nutial made three saves.

Malone will look to bounce back on Saturday as the squad travels to South Euclid, Ohio for a 1:00 p.m. AMC match against Notre Dame College.
