Malone University Athletics

Tarter, a senior from Mogadore, Ohio (Mogadore H.S.), paced Malone to a team title among a 29-team field at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional last Saturday and Sunday.

At the par-71 Elks Run Golf Course, in Batavia, Ohio, Tarter posted a three-under-par first round of 68 and followed that up with a one-under 70 on day two for a -4 total of 138 to earn overall medalist honors at the event.  He helped the Pioneers to a 578 (+10) two-day total to capture the tournament title, defeating the runner-up by an impressive 18 strokes.
