Baker, a senior right-handed pitcher from Canton, Ohio (Canton Central Catholic H.S.), tossed a three-hit shutout on Thursday to lead the Pioneers to a 1-0 victory at rival Walsh.  Baker struck out five and walked just two over seven strong innings.
 
On the season, Baker has posted a 3-2 record with a 2.56 earned run average and limited opponents to a .219 batting average.
