Jankowski, a native of Brook Park, Ohio (Berea-Midpark H.S.), earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year honors after placing third in the G-MAC Men's Cross Country Championship race on Saturday morning.

Jankowski notched a time of 26:47.1 on Malone's 8K men's course. His performance earned him a spot on the G-MAC First Team and helped the Pioneers to a second-place finish among the seven teams in the field.

Malone will next compete at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Championships in Evansville, Indiana on November 5th.
