Biography

Prior to Malone: Backert comes to Malone as a transfer from Western Colorado and Midway High School in Waco, Texas, where she was a three-sport athlete between basketball, track and field and cross country. Academically, Bachert was a member of the National Honor Society, MHS All-Academic for two years, maintained a 4.0 GPA all four years, and made Academic All-State. During her senior year, Bachert was the team co-captain along with making the All-District Team (6A). She was also selected to play in the Texas vs. Oklahoma All-Star Game following her senior year. Beckert is majoring in exercise science at Malone.
