Prior to Malone: Roberts played two seasons at the College of Wooster, primarily as a middle hitter. Appeared in 28 matches as a sophomore, posting a .185 hitting percentage while totaling 139 kills (1.48 k/s) and 47 blocks (0.50 b/s). In high school, Roberts was a two-time All-North Coast League performer at Archbishop Hoban in Akron. As a member of the Fighting Scots basketball team, Roberts played in 25 games as a sophomore, including 10 starts. She averaged 4.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in 16 minutes a game.
