Ronni Grandison

2017-18 marks Ronni Grandison’s second season on the Malone women’s basketball coaching staff after a very successful first season in which she helped coach Malone to a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC ) Championship and its first-ever berth in the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament.

Grandison, who earned a bachelor’s degree in Science Technology and Society from New Jersey Institute of Technology, completed four years of NCAA Division I women’s basketball competition.  Grandison started 26 games and averaged 6.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per outing for NJIT during the 2015-16 season.  Prior to taking the court for the Highlanders, Grandison spent two years at the University of Massachusetts.

During a distinguished prep career, Grandison helped lead Lakota West High School to a 2009-10 Sectional Title and earned District 15 All-Star honors during both her junior and senior seasons.

Grandison’s sister, Naomi, is currently a junior forward for the Pioneers and her father, Ronnie, played four seasons in the NBA (Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets) while also competing professionally in the CBA and overseas.

Grandison is currently pursuing a master’s of Business Administration (MBA) at Malone.
