Jeff Couto enters his first season on the Malone women's basketball coaching staff in 2010-2011 after previously serving as the head coach at Louisville High School from 1999-2008 during which time the Lady Leopards compiled a 127-74 overall record. He received numerous coach of the year awards while at Louisville, earning Ohio Division II Coach of the Year accolades following the 2005-2006 season, the Stark County Coaches’ Association Coach of the Year Award following the 2007-2008 campaign and four consecutive Ohio District IV Coach of the Year recognitions from 2005-2008.
Cuoto also received the OHSAA Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity award in 2003-2004 and the Akron Beacon Journal Clem Caraboolad Award in 2007-2008. In addition, Cuoto garnered Northeastern Buckeye Conference Coach of the Year honors following the 2005-2006 and 2007-2008 seasons while leading Louisville to three straight NBC titles during his final three years as the Leopards' head coach (2005-2006, 2006-2007, 2007-2008).
