2020: In a Coronavirus-shortened season, Betz started all eight games at shortstop for Malone... Went 2-for-3 at the plate in a 6-2 win over Lock Haven, including her first collegiate hit in the game... Drew two total walks at the dish... In the field, Betz made nine putouts and eight assists... Named G-MAC All-Academic Team

Prior to Malone: An alumni of East Canton high school, Betz was a four-year letter winner in softball and was the team's starting shortstop in her junior and senior seasons. Betz set a new school-best career batting average of .508, one of six total records broken by Betz as a Hornet. She was named First-Team all-conference in the Inter-Valley Conference (IVC) in 2017-19. Betz won a district championship with East Canton in 2018 and is a two-time district runner-up. Academically, Betz graduated with Summa Cum Laude Honors and won the Scholar Athlete Award in her junior and senior seasons. Betz is planning to major in Marketing and Communication Arts with a concentration in public relations at Malone.
