2017: Played in all 16 matches as a freshman midfielder, including 12 starts…Totaled 895 minutes played…Finished second on the team in goals (3), points (8), shots (19), and shots on goal (12)…Tied for the team-lead in assists (2) and led the team in shots on goal percentage (.632)…Recorded first collegiate goal against Findlay (9/9/17)…Scored a goal in Malone’s 2-1 win over Kentucky Wesleyan (9/21/17)…Tallied assists in back-to-back games against Trevecca Nazarene (9/23/17) and Salem International (9/26/17)…Netted a goal at Findlay (10/7/17)... Named G-MAC All-Academic Team

Prior to Malone: Rice was All-Fayette County all four years of high school. He was All-Section three times, as well as All-Conference First Team. Rice is the all-time leader in goals and points at Connellsville High School and he was a Centennial Scholar Athlete.
