2020: In a Coronavirus-shortened season, Johnson started all eight games for the Pioneers in right field... Batted .280 (7-for-25) on the season with a three-hit game with an RBI in a 6-2 win over Lock Haven... Made 12 putouts defensively.

2019: Johnson started all 40 games in right field during her freshman season with the Pioneers…Posted a .308 batting average with 32 hits, including a double, two triples, and an-inside-the park homerun…Scored 19 runs, tallied nine RBI, led the team with seven sacrifices, and stole four bases…Collected eight multi-hit games while batting almost exclusively out of the ninth spot in the order…Recorded her first collegiate hit in the season opener against West Virginia Wesleyan (3/3/19)…Posted a season-high three hits, including a double, in a win over Franklin Pierce (3/8/19)…Collected three hits and a season-high three RBI against Lake Erie (3/18/19)…Homered in a win over Salem (4/2/19)…Recorded five outfield assists on the year, including the game-ending throw from right in a 5-4 win over Kentucky Wesleyan (5/4/19) in a G-MAC Championship elimination game in which she reached base three times and scored two runs, including the go-ahead run in the seventh

Prior to Malone: Johnson was a four-year member of the Spartan softball team and also lettered two years in volleyball.  A centerfielder, Johnson was named Second Team All-Ohio as a senior. During her career, she helped Springfield capture a Portage Trail Conference Title and earn a District Runner-up finish during her freshman year in 2015.  That season, she garnered All-PTC Second Team honors.  During both her sophomore and junior seasons, she helped guide the Spartans to Sectionals, was named Team MVP, made the Stark/Summit All-Star Game and was selected to the All-PTC First Team.  As a junior, she was also named First Team All-Northeast Ohio and Honorable Mention All-Ohio after recording a .528 batting average and a .678 on-base percentage with 30 runs scored and 17 runs batted in.  Johnson excelled on the base paths, having swiped an average of 34 stolen bases per season.  Erika was an Honor Roll student at Springfield and plans to major in Education at Malone.
