Katie Woolf will enter her second year as the graduate assistant coach for the Malone University softball team in 2011-12. She primarily works with the Pioneers’ hitting and outfielders in addition to serving as the pitching/catching coach.  Woolf is a graduate of Marietta College, having earned cum laude recognition with a BFA in Graphic Design.  She attended Louisville High School and currently lives in Louisville.

“Katie’s versatility has really shown in the past season, immediately stepping in as our pitching coach and molding our outfield and hitters,” said Malone head coach Whitney Hartman.  “Our team is blessed with an assistant who puts her all into this program and is aligned with the beliefs of our athletic program and school.”

Woolf was a four-year letter winner for the Marietta softball team and received conference and region awards. She was also involved in various campus activities including Campus Crusade For Christ, Kappa Pi, Conduct Board, and Athletics & Life.  Woolf has previously served as the head coach of a local softball travel team, the Maddogs.
