Haley Thomas

Haley Thomas is entering her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Malone University’s softball team in 2014-15.

Thomas played four years on the softball team at Youngstown State University where she was named the 2012 Female Athlete of the Year, 2012 Horizon League Player of the Year, 2012 First Team at the Horizon League Tournament, 2012 Midwest All-Region Second Team Dean’s List and a NFCA Scholar Athlete. She is the all-time leader in hits and runs, second in home runs, batting average and slugging percentage, third in doubles and triples, fourth in steals and fifth in RBIs at Youngstown State. Also at YSU, she was a student assistant from 2012-2013.

After her time at YSU, Thomas headed to Misenheimer, North Carolina where she was an assistant coach at Pfeiffer University from 2013-2014. While at Pfeiffer, she helped the team improve in numerous batting statistics: BA .242 (2013) to .262 (2014), SLG .296 (2013) to .360 (2014), OBP .292 (2013) to .320 (2014), HR 9 (2013) to 15 (2014), 3B 2 (2013) to 6 (2014), 2B 37 (2013) to 53 (2014), SO 208 (2013) to 188 (2014).

Thomas is a 2012 graduate at Youngstown State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Physical and Health Education. She is pursuing a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership at Malone.
