Biography

2020: In a Coronavirus-shortened 2020 season, Howser made eight starts at third base... Batted .292 (7-for-24) with a homerun versus Lewis, a double, four RBIs and one run scored... Made seven putouts and recorded 17 assists defensively... Named G-MAC All-Academic Team

2019: Howser started all 40 games at third base during her freshman season at Malone…Batted .299 with 40 hits, including six doubles and three homeruns…Tallied 18 runs scored, 13 RBI, and a stolen base…Struck out just five times in 144 plate appearances…Ranked as the fifth-toughest player to strikeout in the G-MAC and sixth-toughest freshman to strikeout in Division II…Recorded 12 multi-hit games and five games with multiple RBI…Singled in her first collegiate at-bat against West Virginia Wesleyan (3/3/19)…Registered a season-high three hits against Clarion (3/5/19)...Collected a season-high two runs, two RBI, and her first collegiate homerun in a win over Salem (4/2/19)…Matched a season-high with three hits, including a homer and a double, a day later in a win over Cedarville (4/3/19)…Smashed a three-run homer in a 5-4 win over Kentucky Wesleyan in a G-MAC Championship elimination game... Named G-MAC All-Academic Team

Prior to Malone: Howser was a four-year starter for Elyria where she helped lead the Pioneers to the 2017 OHSAA Division I State Title, tallying three hits and scoring twice in the Championship Game victory. As a senior, Howser was named Second Team All-Ohio, First Team All-District and the 2018 Lorain County Coaches Association's Player of the Year after batting .491 with 12 doubles, two homers and 45 RBI's.  Over the span of her high school career, Howser compiled a .460 batting average with 39 doubles, 10 triples, nine home runs, 122 RBI's and 133 runs scored.  Academically, Howser was named to the High Honor Roll, received the Scholastic E Award and was a member of the National Honor Society.
