Born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, Ugrin earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Malone in 2011 and then went on to receive an MBA from the University this past May.  He currently holds a USSF “D” coaching license and, in addition to his Pioneer coaching responsibilities, also serves on the staffs of Strikers SC and Ohio Strikers United.

Ugrin arrived at Malone from Pretoria Boys High School in South Africa where he played goalkeeper for TUKS FC (Pretoria Football Club) through the Pretoria High Performance Centre.  He was awarded with national colors and capped as a goalkeeper for the South African U12-U19 level.  During his collegiate playing career, Ugrin appeared in a total of 31 games for the Pioneers at the midfield and forward positions.
