Nic Ugrin

Nic Ugrin returns to Malone this fall, starting his second year as an assistant coach for the men’s soccer team and continuing as the goalkeepers’ coach for the women’s squad. 

Born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, Ugrin graduated from Malone in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.  He currently holds a USSF “D” coaching license and will begin his second year in Malone’s graduate program this fall where he is pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration.

Ugrin arrived at Malone from Pretoria Boys High School in South Africa where he played goalkeeper for TUKS FC (Pretoria Football Club) through the Pretoria High Performance Centre.  He was awarded with national colors and capped as a goalkeeper for the South African U12-U19 level.  During his collegiate playing career, Ugrin appeared in a total of 31 games for the Pioneers at the midfield and forward positions.
