Jimmy Digman

  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Jimmy Digman enters his first year on the Malone men’s soccer coaching staff this fall. He was a three-year starter at GlenOak High School, earning Offensive MVP honors as a senior. During his junior year, Jimmy helped the Golden Eagles claim a district title and advance to the “Sweet 16” after scoring the game-winning goal on a bicycle kick during the district championship game against Kent-Roosevelt High School.

At the age of 15, Jimmy was a starter for the State Of Ohio Olympic Development Program and tried out for the National team that same year in Iowa. He competed for the very first North Canton Strikers squad and also played for the NC Soccer Club in Hudson, Ohio. After graduating from high school, Jimmy earned an associate’s degree in Hospitality Management/Travel and Tourism from Mountain West College in Utah. He spent 11 years out west pursuing a career as a snowboarder until injuries from a severe crash put him out of the running to become a professional in the sport.

Jimmy holds a youth coaching license, previously coaching the North Canton Strikers 15-year-old team and helping out with the GlenOak boys junior varsity squad. He enjoys working with youth in all aspects and is a part of RiverTree Christian Church’s youth ministry program. In addition to coaching and working with the youth at his church, Jimmy also enjoys spending time with his nieces and nephews, running, working out and being active.
